This brand new release makes it easier than ever for developers to create fingerprint recognition enabled applications from Linux platforms. The flexibility of the DigitalPersona SDK for Linux enables developers to embed fingerprint-based authentication in a wide varity of application front ends. Highlights include a new, simplified API, support for standard image and data formats, WSQ compression, NFIQ image quality metrics, integrated 1:n/1.1 identification, and support for ARM processors.

The U.are.U SDK for Android enables integrators and developers to quickly add the strong security of fingerprint-based authentication to their Android applications. These applications can then be used with DigitalPersona’s standards based, FIPS 201 PIV certified optical fingerprint readers. The U.are.U SDK for Android includes sample code, a detailed developer’s guide and a royalty-free license to distribute the DigitalPersona runtime engine with the developer’s application.
